Hello friends! It has been a few minutes since my last post using dies from the Home Sweet Quilt collection by Spellbinders. My last one featured a Christmas version, but I wanted to show how versatile these products are by using more Spring inspired colors. Please let me know what you think in the comments below. I always value your feedback.
I decided to embrace the octagon design of the Layered Windmill die and made a shaped card. I die cut the Layered Windmill die with three patterned papers and inlaid them to create this fun quilt. I find that if you choose papers all from one pad that they will match or pair nicely. So if you’re looking for a starting point, pick out an old paper pack that needs some love. To compliment the design I added the Sealed Leaf Sprigs in white as well as the sentiment from the Outlined Sentiment dies.
The second card also features the Home Sweet Quilt Collection’s, Filigree Eight Point Star die. I think I may have had windmill on my mind when I created this card, because mysteriously it looks like a pinwheel. I think that’s what I love about paper crafting the most, is you can make it however makes you happy. In this case I only used four of the points. I think the blush pinwheel is gorgeous matted with the Postage Edge Squares die, don’t you? I used the same “thanks” from the Outlined Sentiments die set as before as I need a few thank you’s on hand.
