One Stamp, Five Different Moods

Hello friends, I’m back with a color study of sorts, using one stamp and seeing if I can create different moods by changing up the colors. I recently took a course from Altenew called In the Mood for Color and was inspired to break out my water colors and explore.

The course I took was broken down into 6 lessons and each one discussed what each color mood it creates in our minds. For example red represents Love, Passion, and energy which makes sense that’s why we often give our special person red inspired gifts such as Valentines. I am trying to break out of my comfort zone and wanted to stretch my skills by water coloring. I did this in what I call the easy method. For each of the cards I stamped and heat embossed the African Daisy Paint a flower stamp so that a well would be formed to hold my colors in place. I’m still not comfortable with loosie goosey color yet, but I am getting there. In addition to the African Daisy PAF, I used the Sohcahtoa stamp set for my sentiment. I have included a process video below if you would like to know more about my methods. Let me know in the comments below which color speaks to you. I think the yellow/orange combination is my favorite.

Orange: Health, Happiness, Courage
Blue: Calm Tranquility
Yellow/Orange: combo of Energy, Cheer, Optimism, Health, Happiness, and Courage
Yellow: Energy, Cheer, Optimism
Red/Pink combo: Love, Passion, Energy, Sensitive, Caring Sweet

I hope you have enjoyed my collection of cards and will take a look at my video below. Please consider liking and subscribing to my channel!
