Sending Warm Winter Wishes Your Way

Hello friends! I can’t believe we saw the first snow flakes fall already which is pretty exciting around here because my dogs love tunneling through the snowy yard. Thankfully for me, it was the type of snow you could catch on your tongue, but melts before it hits your toes. Regardless old man winter is knocking at our door, which is why I am sending you warm winter wishes with my card today. For my project today I am featuring the stamp and die set Winter Winds by Trinity Stamps.

I think the Winter Winds set loans itself well for mini slimline cards, so I went with that format. The background was created with a Distress Oxide blend of Tumbled Glass, Milled Lavender, and Peacock Feathers. To add depth and dimension to it, I lightly applied water through the Seasonal Winds stencil and sopped it up with a paper towel. Using the towel removes some of the color and leaves behind a ghost of the “wind”. After drying the background thoroughly with a heat gun, I treated it with an anti static tool to prepare it for embossing. The Winter Winds image was stamped with Versamark in and heat embossed with white fine detail embossing powder. Finally the sentiment was stamped with Peacock Feather Distress Oxide ink and then die cut with the coordinating die. After matting the front panel and adhering it to the card base I add a few Bubble Blow Out gems to add shimmer and shine. I think that wraps up this card for me.

I hope that you will give this card a try! If you do, don’t forget to tag me on social media, and Trinity Stamps too!
