Red, White and Blue Spring Rose, Joy Clair Designs

Hello friends! I hope you had a wonderful Independence Day, if you are from the US! I couldn’t resist but, to bring you one more red, white, and blue inspired project! I don’t know what to say, but I’m a proud patriot! My card today features the Spring Rose digital stamp set from Joy Clair Designs. This beautiful stamp comes with four sentiments and two floral images, and I love, love. love it!!!

I printed these two roses (same image) large and in charge on to a 4 x5.25 inch panel and colored them with Copics. I used R 30, 32, and 35 for the base layer of the Spring Rose images. Then to get the really dramatic and blue tint, I added B 63 and 66 to the base of the petals and anywhere there would be a deep shadow. Once I liked my blend, I then applied the darkest of my blue markers (B 99) to the background. You can do the same techiques with whatever alcohol markers you have, but I only know the Copic blends off the top of my head. To add just a bit more interest I splattered gold and white acrylic paint to the panel. Since I wasn’t sure what occasion I would be sending my card for, I decided on a simple “celebrate” die cut word for the sentiment. I am over the moon with how dramatic the Spring Rose project turned out. I’d love to know what you think?

Okay I think that pretty much sums up this beautiful, but easy to create card. I hope this inspires you to take a look at the Joy Clair Designs Shop today!
