Hi and welcome back to my crafty place! I’m so happy you’re stopping by as I am creating two different projects using the same stamp set, creating a Rustic Christmas from Joy Clair Designs.

Let’s take a look at the first project, an A2 sized card using Rustic Christmas Sentiments stamp set…

I started out using white card stock and stamped the evergreen swag from the Rustic Christmas Sentiments using stamp positioning tool and Versafine Clair Green Oasis ink. I positioned this stamp to form a border changing angles to obtain a random pattern and heat embossed it with clear powder.

To obtain the rustic, masculine background, I ink smooshed several brown Distress Oxide inks which was resisted by the heat embossed Rustic Christmas Sentiments. To add just a bit more texture I roughed up the edges with a scissors blade and inked it up again.

I repeated the ink smooshing for the front card panel, but heat embossed the black frame from Rustic Christmas Sentiments with Versafine Clair Nocturne and the Merry Christmas with Versafine Clair Tulip red. I added a few die cuts from my stash to make the fun foliage to create dimension to the card.

Now for the second project a Christmas Tag…

My second use of the Rustic Christmas Sentiments was a more clean and simple design. I heat embossed the same swag with Versafine Clair Morning Mist ink with clear powder and then used Spectrum Noir Shimmer pens to color the image. I added several ribbons and twines to add festive touches. This was a very simple project to make, but will add so much to your holiday gift giving. I hope you give it a try!

Tip… If you don’t have the right color ribbon, you can color a white or silver ribbon with your alcohol markers to get the perfect match. That’s what I did for the red sheer ribbon.
