Thankful For You

Hello and welcome back, Joy here. I have a bright and cheerful thank you card to share with you today. If you haven’t noticed, we at Brutus Monroe have been on a fun rainbow theme, and this card goes right along with it. Rainbows make me so happy at the end of a good rain, because it reminds me there is always beauty amidst a storm. Do you ever go on a long drive and try to chase the other side of the rainbow? We do at my house!!!

This card was right up my alley, as I love to get inky and boy my hands look like a good tie-dye!! Using the Brutus Monroe Aqua Paper, I applied red, yellow, and blue Sparkle Aqua pigments and misted them to get them to run together and blend. I did this twice, drying it with my heat tool in between applications. I then heat embossed the Vintage Burlap background stamp with embossing ink and Alabaster embossing powder. Prior to applying the ink I dumped some embossing powder to the panel to make sure nothing would stick, meaning it was thoroughly dry. For the sentiment strip I trimmed Alabaster card stock to 1 1/4in x 4inches. The sentiment is from the Super Sentimental Stamp set and the amazing butterfly is from the Butterfly Kisses stamp set, both were stamped using my Misti and Raven Detail ink. The butterfly was colored with alcohol markers and then popped up with foam tape. Pretty fun, right?

I hope this inspires you to make something fun today! Thank you for stopping by!
