A Man’s Birthday Card!

Hi and welcome back to my crafty place. I have a stacked card that’s fit for a Man’s Birthday! Okay, this is my hubby’s card that I made for him today. I really bought this amazing Picket Fence stamp called Dad’s Day for his Father’s Day card, but it never got made. But, I think it’s perfect for his big day.

Anyone who knows my hubs, knows that he’s a burger guy. Like, I think it’s his go to comfort food! Since I met him, my cholesterol has gone through the roof, because of his love for red meat. Crazy Right!!! Let’s take a look at the card!

I thought this image lent itself for a 5×7 inch card or 6 inch square card. I went the A7 card as I wanted to add layers of fun masculine papers. I stamped the burger with Memento Ink so that I could color it with Copic markers. This was actually an easy image to color because the artist added the shading for us. I blended Over the Moon ink around the image to set it off. I matted the layers with black card stock to show off the DCVW The Guy Stack papers. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed in white, from a retired Spellbinders set called Birthday Balloons. I stamped the inside stamp from Stamping Bella Dog sentiments, not shown here. For my final embellishments I used enamel dots from Gina Marie, called Dandelion. I think that’s a wrap for me…

Copic coloring: If you’re interested, I buy all of my Copics from Scrapbook Pal as they are a small business and have fast shipping!
Bun: E 51, 53, 55, 57, 59, 37
burger patty: E 41, 42, 43, 47,49
tomato: R 08, 05, 02, 00
lettuce: yg 11, 13, 17
pickle: g 20, 21, 24, 25, YG01
onion: v 00, 02, 04
cheese: E 37, Y 13, 21, 23, 26

Just a small disclaimer! All items used in all of my projects are (or have been) purchased with my own funds, but this does not include design team items that I have received or otherwise stated.
