Bugaboo Anything But a Card

Hello and welcome back to my crafty space. Have you ever done a project that just makes you smile? Whenever I color roses, it reminds of when I first met my husband as he used to tend to the roses at our church. I would pull into the parking lot and see this manly man singing and humming to the roses as he pruned the beautiful garden. I think this is partly what attracted me to him and I’m so thankful for the roses God planted because that is where my love started. When I shared this tag with him this morning he said, “it isn’t my birthday.” How sweet is that? He associates my love for roses to him. I jokingly said, you can have the picture of it and pretend it was for your birthday, but it is going to lovely lady in my swap group.

I was very excited when my Catch The Bug project and my swap project coincided together. I get really excited about that because I love sharing Bugaboo images with other crafty friends a they are some of my favorite images to work with. My challenge for the swap was to make a birthday tag out of chipboard, have a word, and birthday sentiment, 4 embellishments, and a bow on my tag and it had to be 3.5in x 7in minimum. In my opinion that’s a huge tag… Thankfully when working with digital images you can size them anyway you like. After printing my sweet tag I scanned with my cut n scan and saved the pattern. I cheated a bit because I didn’t want to attempt chip board in my machine, so I cut out the pattern 5 times and glued them together to make very own chipboard! Pretty smart, eh?

For my die cuts i used two different sets. The word sentiment came from a Bugaboo,Rose bud tag. To finish off the project I added assorted ribbons, twine and sequins. I hope you love it as much as I do!

Thanks Carol… what was even better was I didn’t have a punch that would reach the placement for the hole. I took it to Staples and the guy said” I can put an ugly gromment in it, that’s the only that will reach.” Oh my god I loved this grommet and he did it for free! LOL
