Hello and welcome back! I’m so glad you here with me today as I have a fun gnome card featuring a stamp from Brutus Monroe, called Gnome Pun Intended to share with you. If you love to color, this set is for you because you can add as much or as little detail as you wish. You will be seeing a few cards from me this week as I want to use a couple different mediums. Stay tuned!
For this fun card I started out with smooth white cards stock and using my Misti stamping platform, I stamped both images with black copic friendly ink. Once the coloring was complete I cut out the images with the Gnome Pun Intended die set. I then started on my background, by first laying the images in the relative areas I wanted them so I could map out the sky, hills, and mushroom using and E51 Copic marker. I drew in the mushroom freehand with the same marker because once you start adding color you cannot see the light shade. The hills and sky were then blended and for a few details a white gel pen was used. Using several shades of green I formed the grass clusters to “anchor” the gnomes down. My front panel was then matted with white and black card stock. I wrapped and tied a bow from navy baker’s twine and then applied the layers to the red card base which is a 6×6 inch square card.
