Hello and welcome back! I am so excited to share my first post for the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team. For my project I chose to feature three Brutus Monroe stamp sets, Flower Doodle, Take Flight, and Botanical Banners. I knew the moment I saw the Flower Doodle that I had to color it up. I love this 6×6 inch background stamp because the possibilities are endless when creating with it. I sure hope you fall in love with it too!

For this beautiful card I started out by stamping the Flower Doodle set with Raven Detail Ink onto White Wash card stock. Before coloring the image with an assortment of Copic markers, I heat set it just to make sure it wouldn’t smear (probably an unnecessary step). For added detail I used a white and black paint pen to accent the foliage, and then used a charcoal pencil for the background. I repeated the same process for the butterfly from the Take Flight set, but I backed it with Raven Card Stock before fussy cutting the image. The simple sentiment is from the Botanical Banners stamp set which was also stamped in the Raven Detail Ink and fussy cut out. I took a monochromatic approach to the inside greeting, stamping the Take Flight Stamp set with Raven Detail ink. This beautiful card was matted with Brutus Monroe Raven and White Wash Card stock and measures 6 x 6 inches. I’m telling you I loved making this card, and I hope it shows! Until next time…. Keep Crafting!
