Santa may want to check the craft room before heading for the cookie jar! This handmade Christmas card serves up a festive plate of stamped cookies, classic Christmas plaid, and a sprinkle of sparkle. Featuring the Baking Spirits Bright stamp set from Pajama Crafter Stamps, it’s a sweet way to bring the warmth of holiday baking to your Christmas cardmaking.

During this episode of Lunch & Craft with Joy, we explored coloring stamped images with Tisoso Acryhttps://link.amazon/B0eMhTE6olic Markers with a brush nib. We also shared a clever way to turn nesting circle dies into a dimensional-looking cookie plate. If you enjoy Christmas stamping, patterned paper, and learning new cardmaking techniques, this project has plenty to inspire your next crafty afternoon.

Christmas Cookie Coloring with Tisoso Acrylic Markers

The Baking Spirits Bright stamp set provides the treats for our holiday plate: a cheerful gingerbread person, a smiling snowman cookie, and a round cookie decorated with festive icing and sprinkles.

The warm brown cookie shapes and white icing outlines give these images that familiar Christmas cookie look. Red and green details bring festive color to the gingerbread and iced cookie, while the snowman’s black top hat, rosy cheeks, and orange nose add personality.

We’re demonstrating Tisoso Acrylic Markers with a brush nib to color these stamped images and add those playful finishing details. Trying a new coloring medium is a wonderful reason to slow down, experiment, and learn together. Small accents—from colorful sprinkles to the snowman’s hat details—give each cookie its own character.

Thank you, Tisoso, for the opportunity to collaborate with you and explore your acrylic markers with our cardmaking community!

Create a Cookie Plate with Nesting Circle Dies

Look closely at the shiny gold plate beneath the cookies. That defined rim comes from using your circle dies in two different ways!

During the YouTube live, Joy demonstrated how to:

  1. Use a larger nesting circle die to cut the plate.
  2. Position a smaller circle die inside the cut circle.
  3. Use the smaller die with an embossing mat to impress the plate’s inner rim.

The smaller die creates the embossed detail rather than cutting out the center. Follow your die-cutting machine’s recommended sandwich for embossing with dies.

That simple detail transforms a basic circle into a festive serving plate, ready for Santa’s treats. The reflective gold surface also adds a beautiful contrast to the warm cookie colors.

Layering Timeless Christmas Patterned Paper

The Timeless Christmas paper pack sets a cozy holiday mood with traditional plaid and a deep green “noel” pattern. Cream tones tie the papers together and echo the cookies’ white icing details.

The Stitched Scalloped Border die creates the sweeping decorative edges between the patterned papers. Those curves soften the plaid’s straight lines and frame the cookie plate without competing with the stamped images.

This combination offers a lovely Christmas card layout for showing off coordinating patterned papers while keeping your focal point easy to see.

Ribbon, Buttons, and Christmas Sparkle

A red-and-black checked ribbon adds texture beneath the sentiment, while a Handmade with Love button reinforces the card’s homemade charm. Red Hot Rhinestones scattered around the plate bring festive sparkle and draw the eye through the design.

The “sweet Christmas wishes” sentiment finishes the card with a greeting perfectly suited to our cookie theme. It’s a little holiday baking inspiration, wrapped up in paper!
