Craft Roulette Play Along: Drop Down + Mahjong + Go Wild
We had so much fun playing along with this week’s Craft Roulette Challenge, and this one really kept us on our toes—in the best way possible!
The parameters for this round were:
- Project: Drop Down
- Colors: Mahjong
- Element: Go Wild
- Random: Hand-drawn Border
To bring this project to life, we reached for the Toadally Awesome frogs because… of course we did. I colored the frogs using my favorite Copic blend—YG01, YG03, YG14, and YG67—because if there’s a chance to use a tried-and-true green combo, I’m taking it every time.
To meet the Mahjong color requirement, I kept the card design rooted in traditional greens, blues, reds, and golds. This classic palette tied everything together while still allowing the frogs to shine as the stars of the show.
For the Drop Down project element, the Zipper Die was the perfect solution. Not only does it create a fun interactive surprise, but it also allows the frogs to come down in full leaps and bounds—adding motion and personality to the card. The three adorable frogs definitely captured the Go Wild element straight from the heart.
To finish things off, I added a hand-drawn wonky border with faux stitching for extra charm and personality, then topped everything with a bit of gold bling for sparkle and shine.
Whew—this was such a fun Craft Roulette challenge!
