Hello and welcome back to my crafty space! I had the pleasure of taking a class from Erin Thompson of Everyday Expressions and I had a wonderful time meeting new people from Stamp Junkies and watching Erin receive her Educator Certification from Altenew! The whole experience was fun, relaxing, educational, and a pleasure to be part of. We made two cards using the Exotic Tulips stamp set from Altenew using their crisp dye inks. Our first card was using stamping blocks so that we could really get used to layering the stamps with the provided guide and masks. After learning to “let it go” and having fun, we then used a stamp platform to make the second card. The techniques were similar, but in the second card we used all of the stamp layers. Erin taught us too that if you use an anaolgous color on the color wheel you will get even more contrast and depth. Boy was she right!! I am sharing both of my cards that were stamped on white paper and blended with the Altenew crisp dye inks. They were then matted with another white layer and placed on black card bases.
A full products list can be found on Erin’s blog Everyday Expressions, but I will add the ones I know: Altenew Cherry Blossom Oval set, Altenew Green Valley Oval Set, and Altenew Tea Party Oval set inks, Altenew Black and grew enamel dots, Altenew Obsidion Pigment Ink and Altenew Mini Thanks sentiment stamp set.
I am certainly glad I got to participate over the weekend as I had forgotten how much I like to stamp and get inky. I can’t wait to get inky again really soon. Thanks Erin for opening your home and talents up to me.

Beautiful card. I love the colors and details. Thanks for playing along this week at Crafting Happiness Challenges.
Thanks Janis for checking out my cards. I think I forgot how much I love to physically stamp as I usually color digis. I think I will be mixing it up for now on!

Inga, that’s probably the best compliment ever! I may just do that. We give our art away, which is awesome to make others smile. But, we rarely get to enjoy our stuff! Have a great weekend!
