Hello and welcome back! I am having so much fun combining my Advent Calendar surprises with my other Spellbinders crafty supplies. Today I am showing how nicely the mushroom dies from Day 8 work with the Autum Floral Corner BetterPress Plate. And I tried something new today… I colored the entire image in sepia tones. You’ll have to let me know if I pulled it off?
Like I mentioned I paired this with items from the Crafty Advent Calendar 2023 edition, which is no longer available. I’m sorry about that, but you can still use this for inspiration and use what you have. If you have to have a mushroom die, Spellbinders has the Enchanted Stitched Mushroom available. I am not sure how big those are in comparison, but go check it out! As for the pressed image, I inked up the plate with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and pressed it into Hammermill Premium Color Copy Paper 100 lb and them colored it with Copics. When using a thinner type of medium like I did, you won’t get the letterpress effect, but you will get a nice crisp image to color. The sentiment was pressed using the Tawny color from the Nature Tones bundle.
