Hello, I am still in Christmas mode, but I have to admit I’d like to be at the beach. My craft room is a close second. With that said join me for another episode of Yana’s De-Light-Ful Christmas collection. I am loving this hotfoil heavy collection and will be sharing a few cards with you. I hope you like them.
This card was a blast to make. I foiled it using Sky Bright Hot Foil and the hot foil plate from the Holly Background Bundle and then colored it with Copics. After that using the same foil I applied with the A Merry Little Christmas sentiment Hot foil plate and cut it out with the accompanying dies. I think it’s really pretty on the backdrop of the Essential Arches Dies cut in navy and turquoise cardstock.
I foiled the Joyful Glimmer Hot Foil Plate onto black cardstock, admittedly I only used one plate, not the second that has holly. I also inked up the Holly Background 3D Embossing Folder with gold pigment ink before running it through the die machine. It’s so pretty pressed into the cardstock. I just love it!!!
The Poinsettia Blooms die is probably my favorite items from this collection. I cut it out of smooth cardstock and popped out the petals so that I could Copic color them. Once I had the frame glued in place I then inlaid the petals. Next I cut it out again in gold mirror cardstock making sure to not pop any of the pieces out and glued it directly onto the embossed background. I then popped up the colored version off set from the gold. Finally, I hotfoiled the A Merry Little Christmas Sentiments in gold and popped it up as well. And it wasn’t complete until I added a few gold pearls. This makes my holiday loving soul sing!!!!!
