Ahoy Maties!!! Are you loving these cute pirates from the Aye, Aye Captain stamp set from Sweet Sentiment Stamps? I can’t get enough of them because I love anything beach and water themed! And that cute bird… he makes me happy!!!
You have probably noticed lately, that I have been on kick with creating art that I can keep for myself instead of sending it away in the mail. I think that’s why these dex cards have been speaking to me so much. I started out this project by stamping the images from Aye, Aye Captain and colored them with Copics. I fussy cut them out, but there are coordinating dies available in the shop if you’re interested.
Once the coloring was complete I applied so post it note tape across the bottom third of the dex card to create a horizon and sand line. From there I blended Scattered Straw Distress Oxide through a Sunburst stencil. After that I removed the tape and masked off the sun ray and blended Vintage Photo to the bottom to create the sand effect. From there it was easy peasy… I arranged my characters to create the cute scene.!!! So Much Fun, and its’ mine!!!
