How To Create an Ombre Rainbow Sunburst

Hi my friends! I have another fun card to share using the Aliens Exist stamp set from Sweet Sentiment today. I am also going to walk you through how to create an ombre rainbow sunburst for the background. I think you will find this to be a versatile technique in your arsenal.

Making this background was so much fun, and I only used three Distress Oxide inks to make them. First I blended Squeezed Lemonade through a Sunburst stencil and then blended two more colors over after removing the stencil. I chose to Diagonally apply the ink with the Squeezed Lemonade in the center, then Picked Raspberry in the bottom right and finally Peacock Feathers in the top left. That left me with a blotchy blend, so I replaced the stencil and applied the Squeezed Lemonade through it once again. Super cool and bright!

While the background dried, I stamped the Aliens Exist stamps onto Sweet Sentiment Coloring Paper and colored them with Copics. After that I fussy cut them, but coordinating dies are available. Before matting the background onto black cardstock, I stamped the sentiment. The fun part then was adding the aliens and bling!
