If you haven’t heard, Spellbinders has newly released the Four Petal Collection and it’s beautiful. I am featuring four products from the collection, but there are many more, so be sure to hit the Spellbinders site. I’ve tried to load this post with many different ways to use these products. I hope you like them, and please let me know which is your favorite.
For this first card I featured the Wonderful Tulips Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and used the accompanying die to cut the edge, but then I took it even further and used one of the Essential Four Petal Labels dies to make the center panel. I rarely make shaped cards, but I thought it would be cool to make one from the Essential Four Petals dies. To do this leave the top edge of the die over hanging the top fold of your card base and that will result in a folded card. To finish off the card I added a greeting from the Thanks Enclosed Sentiments die set. If you are curious I colored the foiled image with Olo Markers that can be found in the Spellbinders shop.
This card was also colored with Olo Markers and uses the Wonderful Tulips Glimmer Hot Foil Plates, but is paired with the Four Petal 3D Embossing Folders. I also used the Thanks Enclosed Sentiments, cut with the Gold and Silver Glitter Pop Up Foam Sheets. Isn’t this gorgeous? Just by changing the elements and colors up slightly you get something altogether different.
This card we are going to call extra, because I sometimes like the extra in life. Typically we don’t think of embossing folders as the “focal” point of a card, but today it is. I used the Four Petals 3D Embossing folder and black watercolor paper. I used some metallic watercolors and dropped the color in after it was embossed. I love how these colors pop. I used a vibrant framed area made from the Essential Four Petals Labels die and then used a simple greeting from the Wonderful Tulips Glimmer Hot Foil Plates. I added greenery from the Sealed Leaf Sprigs for a little more texture.
So as you can see all three cards are very different, which shows how diverse the Spellbinders products are. All you need is a little imagination… and you have something unique every time!!
