Hello friends. I think a lot of us struggle with masculine cards in general, so I thought that I would share an easy card sketch using a few layers and patterned paper. Sweet Sentiment Stamps’ Spark is the cutest prehistoric themed set ever, and I thought it would be perfect for a nontraditional Valentine’s Day card, or a general “love” card.
If you struggle with card design, or maybe are in a rut, I recommend visiting different websites like Sunday Stamps Sketch Challenge for inspiration. There are many sites out there such search til your heart’s delight! I used the follow example, but put my spin on it.
I started my project by coloring the Spark image with Copics on Sweet Sentiment Coloring Paper. Once the coloring was complete I cut it out using a Drop Pendant die and then stamped the sentiment using Telephone Box Color Hive Ink. Next I used two larger Drop Pendant dies to cut out the patterned and solid paper layers. This was super easy, but oh so cute. To finish of the card, I added a heart embellishment and some sequins.
