Merry Christmas everyone! Today I am sharing a card for Sweet Sentiment Stamps that pays tribute to a courageous Unwed Mother that gave the world a gift of endless love. I chose the Courageous Cyclamen for this card because the flower represents the Mother Mary and is used in cemeteries and holy places all over the world. We often think of the poinsettia as the “Christmas” flower, but after doing my research the Cyclamen will always be part of my Christmas celebrations.
I stamped the Courageous Cyclamen elements two times each to create this arrangement. All of the images were colored with Copics and then shaped using a stylus. For the background I stamped the geometric shape from Pensive Peony four times by rotating a square card panel by 90 degrees each time creating a cross element. I then heat embossed in a pearlescent powder and then blended Distress Oxide inks over it. Finally the the sentiment was embossed in white from the Playful Poinsettia set. Next I assembled the card base and matted the focal panel using a Postage Edge Die before adhering the flowers.
