Dark Sense of Humor or Unhealthy Coping Mechanisms?

This time of year makes me believe that we are all more capable than we realize. But I’m curious does it end with a dark sense of humor or unhealthy coping mechanisms? Sweet Sentiment Stamps sure has given me a lot to ponder while I colored this Peccable Primrose….

I am ashamed to say, that I wasn’t sure what colors primroses came in, so a quick google search showed me that there are a ton. The purple and yellow really spoke to me today, and I knew I wanted to put it on a highly contrasting background. I colored the Peccable Primrose with Copics and cut them using a coordinating die that is available. Since orange is opposite of purple on the color wheel I decided to go with that, but wanted a nice pastel shade. I may have been hungry because this sorta reminds me of Neapolitan icecream. You’ll have to let me know what you think. I stamped the geometric shape and sentiment with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink so that it would be bold against the background. Now to get that wonderful dimension in the flower I curled the petals around a pen to shape them and then used hot glue and molded them until it hardened. Super easy!!!
