We go to haunted houses all of the time during the Halloween season, so why not a haunted barn? Sounds fun to me! But creating a three dimensional Haunted barn sounds like more fun. I used the A7 Barn Pop Up Die from Scrappy Tails Crafts to make this spooktacular card, as well as few other dies from the same collection.
When I make a card that is primarily made of die cuts, I start by cutting the larger dies, and then separate each of the smaller dies into dishes so that I can stay organized. It’s hard to tell in this photo, but I used argyle patterned scrapbook paper for the walls of the barn, so I actually backed each with 100 pound cardstock to add stability. If you choose to go with solid cardstock this step would be unnecessary., just choose a heavier card stock. After constructing the A7 Barn Pop up, I then decorated it with elements from the A7 Storefront Halloween House die. Overall I tackled this with a monochromatic approach to create a night time scene, but I love how the red BEWARE pops from it. I’d love to know what you think!
