Faux Water Coloring Technique with Embossing Folders

Hello my friends! I am back with another Embossing Folder Friday hop project. Our theme this month was pretty wide open as long we used some sort of animal. I couldn’t believe it, but I had zero animal folders in my stash. Anyhow I am adding a bee, does that count? But the show stopper is the faux water coloring technique used with the Beautiful Blooms embossing folder from Spellbinders. I think you’re going to love this!

Using Color Hive Inks and a finger dauber I applied the colors to the inside of the Beautiful Blooms embossing folder and then misted it with water. Once the Bristol Smooth cardstock was placed in the folder I ran it through my die cutting machine resulting in perfectly embossed and water colored background. After the panel was dried I stamped and colored a bee image from the Bee Yourself stamp set from Colorado Craft Co. I also applied a gilding wax to the raised areas of the flowers to add shimmer and shine. So pretty right?

Just a small disclaimer! All items used in all of my projects are (or have been) purchased with my own funds, but this does not include design team items that I have received or otherwise stated.
