Hello friends! I know Independence Day has already come and gone, but I try to find a reason to celebrate our country everyday. So you may have guessed by now that the July theme for Embossing Folder Friday is Stars and Stripes. This can be interpreted in many ways, I am sure there is at least one of us that didn’t go with the patriotic theme. Be sure to jump over to Youtube to see everyone’s contributions. Creating this card was so much fun, and I’m going to admit it almost went down the tubes. I just love it when you can salvage fatal mistakes. So much sarcasm… it’s just paper! I inked the insides of the Darice Stripes EF and the Tim Holtz Dot Matrix folders with Distress Oxide inks before running them through the die cutting machine. I also embossed the Sizzix US Map but blended ink over it at the end. Ultimately I paired it with a Taylored Expression “The Inside Scoop Freedom” stamp set in a gold embossing powder .
