Hello friends! Dare I say Christmas in July? Yikes we are 174 days away! Are you preparing yet? Maybe you need a little inspiration to start your holiday crafting and shopping? I mean really with supply chain issues and inflation we all need to start! Am I right? I am hopping along with some fellow Facebook and Youtube friends that gather around Bug Scott’s Mediocre Arts and Crafts where we are concentrating on building our Christmas or Holiday card stashes and thought we would take you along for a little inspiration. We will be putting up a new Christmas in July themed card every Sunday in July and this week Sentiments are in focus. I hope you will join us!
I chose to use a bold sentiment Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from Spellbinders called Merry Christmas Banner as my focal point for my card. This particular plate is discontinued, but I found it here on Simon Says Stamp if you are interested. I chose a simple but elegant design which to me reads, ivory and gold. After hot foiling I then die cut the panel using the Hemstitch Nesting Rectangle dies from Spellbinders. I simply backed that with gold foil cardstock, added splatter and baubles and it was done. If I can make this. so can you. I hope you give it a try!
