Hello my friends! Scrappy Tails Crafts just released an amazing collection of tropical inspired products as well as some very innovative pop up vases. I hope that you will join us for the Tropical Bliss Instagram and find some inspiration along the way! Sabrina made me a very happy girl with this release because included a macaws and cockatoos in it. If you don’t already know I have one of each! Anyhow it is rumored that maybe my birds were inspiration for this release… at least that’s what I want to believe!
I decided to make a wall decor piece to hang in my house because I can’t get enough birds… as if the real thing isn’t hollering for me every minute of the day! I started by die cutting all of the pieces so that I could construct the scene in assembly line style. The beautiful macaw from Parrot die set was cut in several colors of blue, yellows and greens and layered creating dimension. I love that Sabrina included a base layer that embossed all of the lines so that it made layering self explanatory. Trust me if I can do it, so can you! I also used several colors of green to cut the Tropical Assorted Leaves. I love these so much that I cut all of the dies in all of the greens and saved the unused for another day. Finally I cut the hibiscus in various pinks using the Layering Hibiscus die set. One last step before arranging the scene was blending Distress Oxide ink in the color Frayed Burlap through the Aztec stencil.
Now be sure to head on over to Instagram and participate in the hop for chances at prizes!
