Hello friends! How are you doing today? I’ve been crafting a lot this week, which makes me beyond happy. Today’s card for Joy Clair Designs, is actually for a friend of mine that is going through a rough patch. I often pray with her over the phone, as she lives far away, but I believe our prayers will be answered. I often ask God to guide my prayers so that his will be done, and I think prayer changes everything. So if you are the praying type, say an unspoken prayer for my friend, Cathy. I thought it was only appropriate to use the digital stamp, God Guides, and I hope you like it.
This is an A7 or 5×7 card that I embossed with a Crafter’s Companion embossing folder and applied Metallic Lustre’ over the raised area with my finger. I love using this because it requires zero drying. Ironically I did splatter the panel with gold acrylic paint, but it dried quickly. In the mean time, I printed the God Guides florals and sentiments onto smooth cardstock and colored them with Copics. What I love about digital stamps is that you can size them to fit your project. In this instance I was thrilled to not only size the sentiment, but to be able to cut it out with my Scan n Cut. For this I applied a small border so that it would have the effect of a word die and shadow effect, without having to do the extra steps. Bonus!!! I matted the God Guides sentiment with two stitched rounded rectangle dies and then framed it with the flowers. Because I can never have enough shine, I then scattered sequins to accentuate the flowers. Finally I matted the focal panel in black before adhering it to a matching card base.
