Singing Praises with Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps

Hello Friends! I am so happy to be guest designing for Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps in January and February. You can look forward to at least one post per week featuring their gorgeous stamps. Most of you know that I adore birds, and in fact have two for pets, so I was naturally drawn to the Singing Praises stamp set which features two beautiful birds, florals and four sentiments. I am seriously in love with this!

To create this card I actually started with the background because I knew I need the Distress Oxides (Chipped Sapphire, Prized Ribbon, and Villainous Potion) to dry thoroughly before embossing the Psalm 23 Background stamp. While that dried I stamped and colored the floral bird image from Singing Praises with Copics, followed by fussy cutting. I also stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the same stamp set onto vellum to create a band around my front panel My background was dry at that point so I heat embossed the Psalm 23 background with Versamark and clear embossing powder. Finally before assembling my card, I splattered the panel with gold acrylic paint to add interest. But you know me, I just had to add more, and felt a little gold wire would look fabulous behind the bird. I just love how this came together! I’d love to know what you think?
