Quick, Simple, Impactful Christmas Card with Joy Clair Designs

Hello friends! Are you having a good weekend? I’ve been in sunny Arizona all week and I have to admit I don’t miss the Midwest winter. While away, I made this quick and simple Christmas card featuring a digital stamp from Joy Clair Designs called Christmas Joy. Truth be told I had zero supplies with me except cardstock and a premade embossed panel, but I still made this fabulous Christmas card from my hotel!!! How cool is that? I love digital stamps because you can create with them from any computer and limited supplies and end up with a stunning card!

Using Microsoft Word I sized the Christmas Joy digital stamp in 3 different sizes and printed them onto colored cardstock. Using a borrowed scissors I trimmed out the triangles leaving a small border and then arranged them onto my card. Next I printed the sentiment onto white cardstock cut it down into a banner. Finally I matted the embossed panel in black and adhered it to 5×7 inch card base. Truth be told I was at a retreat so a friend allowed me to use some bling that she brought. But other than that, I used the hotel printer!

The reason, I made such a big deal about being at a hotel and using limited supplies, is because most people are afraid to get started unless they own all of the things. But it just isn’t true, you can make incredible pieces of art with very little. I really hope this inspires you to get started if you haven’t already. I would love for you to share your creations with me and Joy Clair Designs by tagging us. Thank you for taking an interest.
