Hello friends! I’m sharing a card for Joy Clair Designs were I have dived in to find multiple ways to add shimmer and shine to my holiday projects. For this example I used the digital stamp, Christmas Joy.
I managed to find five different ways to add shimmer and shine to this Holiday card. I implemented two different ways to foil, the first was by printing my sentiment from Christmas Joy with a laser printer and foiling with a toner reactive foil. I also foiled the fun dot border using a glimmer machine and hot foil plates from my stash. More shine was added by embossing the Lattice Mini Slimline die cut with gold embossing powder before adding the sentiment layer. The more obvious examples of adding the bling to my card was using gold mirror card stock, flat sequins and stickles all to show of the beautiful poinsettias from Christmas Joy.
Let’s talk about the poinsettia image for a minute. I mentioned this is a digital stamp, which makes your images very versatile. For example these flowers were on a circular wreath form, but I was able to manipulate them in photo editing software. I was also able to “erase” the circle. I, also sized it a little smaller than it populates so that it would “hug” the card just right!
I hope all of this shimmer and shine gets you in the mood for holiday crafting and maybe check out all that Joy Clair Designs has to offer. You can find the entire collection of digital and clear stamps HERE!
