Hello crafters! am so excited to take part in the Scrappy Tails Crafts, Assorted Christmas Leaves hop! I absolutely love this die set and think it is a must have in your crafty stash! Apparently I’m not alone in this because it is one of our top sellers. For todays project I made a shadow box by repurposing a shadow box from Dollar Tree and a few of their ornaments. This will on display during the holidays in my home.
I started by using multiple colored shimmer sprays to tint my white card stock and laid that aside to dry while I worked on the inside of the box. I cut down a piece of wood planked card stock to fit in the box and distressed the edges with Vintage Photo ink. I then used my Scan n Cut to cut the letters for the word “peace” and adhered that to the panel. Finally I strung and adhered the ornaments from Dollar Tree with the gold string that came with them. Once my sprayed card stock was dry I die cut the panel with the Assorted Christmas Leaves die set and arranged them along the top of the shadow box. My final embellishment was a simple burlap bow because it will compliment my farm house style Christmas Décor in my home.

Thank you Noreen. I was hesitant to start the project, knowing I was using repurposed items but I really love how it turned out. Have a fabulous weekend!
So cool you incorporated your Dollar Tree finds with your stamp & die set! It will certainly look lovely on display this holiday season!
Maryanne, I often get sad because I don’t make things for myself and all of the things get sent out. So it’s very cool when I get to keep one and decorate my house. Lol.
