Winters’ First Snow Fall

Hello crafters! Happy Monday! I’m here sharing a card for Scrappy Tails Crafts and I used the anticipated winter’s first snow fall as an inspiration. The first snow fall of the year is always so magical because the snow flakes are fluffy, and it’s still a little warm so the fall foliage is showing through. I just love the contrast of color against the white snow. I sure hope that I captured its whimsy today.

To create this card I started by trimming a panel to 3×6 inches and blending distress oxide inks through the Starry Night Stencil and then masked off the moon with a die cut circle. Next I blended three blue distress oxide inks over the mask and over the entire panel and added white splatter. Once happy with the blend I set it aside to dry thoroughly to start on the mushrooms. I stamped the image from Fairy Friends set onto smooth card stock and colored it with Copics and then fussy cut it out. I also cut two hill sides with the Slimline Everyday Borders die set and inked the top layer slightly to add depth. Next I stamped and embossed the sentiments from the Fairy Sentiments/Die Bundle in black and white. Finally I assembled the card and added black mat and gemstones to finish it off.

I hope that you have enjoyed this card and will give it a try! For more inspiration please join us on the Scrappy Tails Crafts Facebook page! You will find stunning projects on the Scrappy Tails blogYoutube, and on Instagram!

Just a small disclaimer! All items used in all of my projects are (or have been) purchased with my own funds, but this does not include design team items that I have received or otherwise stated.
