Three Dimensional Christmas Wreath Card

Hello friends! Here in the United States we are celebrating Labor Day, but in the crafty world I am gearing up for my holiday card and gift giving season. With this fun card for Scrappy Tails Crafts, I am going back to my roots, and making a fun three dimensional card with tons of texture. I’m not really sure why I haven’t done this for a while, but I had a ball creating this.

I was so happy when Sabrina, from Scrappy Tails Crafts came out with the Assorted Christmas Leaves die set because not only is it exquisite, but it is an amazing stash builder. I love it so much that I wanted it to be the star of the show today. This die set comes with 14 different sprigs, so building clusters is super easy. For this card I think I used 6 of the dies and used 3 or 4 different colors from my scrap stash. I think having the multitude colors of green really made this wreath pop and stand out. If you don’t have many greens, inking up the leaves would be a fun alternative.

I’m not the best in getting a perfect circle shape when free handing designs so I used two circles in a nesting die set to form a frame so that I would have a base to adhere the Assorted Christmas Leaves to. You will notice I used red stickles on some of the branches and holly leaves to add just a hint of color to my wreath. I just love the font of the sentiment from the Christmas Icon Advent stamp set which I heat embossed on a simple banner. Finally I added the burlap bow to the wreath and set it aside to dry before adhering the entire thing to a 6×6 card base.

I have some awesome news! Right now there is a Labor Day Sale going where you will find the entire shop 20% off! Run!!!! And happy shopping!!
