Hello crafters! I have such a fun project to share with you today! You may find this crazy, but I have no coloring involved and minimal stamping. This is a die cutting lover’s dream come true! Let’s take a look!
I just love this card. I think the cupcake is darling and love the options of decorating with hearts, flowers, cherries, candles. It’s perfect for all occasions which is why I only added a “for you” tag so that I can decide later. I made this cupcake so that you can slide a money inside or lift the top off and reveal a hidden message which is super fun! I love the diversity of the cupcake slide especially because you make it a wide pocket or slim based on how you fold it. Using my Bearly Art glue made this really easy because of the precision tip and the fact wet glue gives you just enough wiggle room to get it perfect!
As another fun element I die cut the cup cake bottom in both blue and white so that I could add the stripes. The Party Cupcake Die set makes this easy because the lines are embossed. I cut the blue layer like a match book and cut away every other strip. You can find an easy example of this on Tina Smith’s video here.
I apologize for my messy craft mat, but wanted you to see the matchbook effect over on the left. My Bearly Art glue was awesome for tacking down those little strips and keeping my pieces clean. From there I continued to die cut all of the pieces and complete scene. My simple sentiment comes from a Brushed Wishes Stampendous set, but you could use anything here.
