Hello crafters! I am so happy to bring you my first card as a Trinity Stamps Ambassador, and this time it’s a “vintage birthday card! By vintage, I am aging myself by saying I had many many mixed cassette tapes. I used to wait until the perfect song came on the radio to record it. It was so exciting to do this. Do you remember those days?
Like many of you I have a ton of scrappy strips of paper, so I decided to use some of them up today while featuring the You Rock stamp set by Trinity. This card is for my favorite rollercoaster buddy who is turning 17 years old today! His mama told he loves blue and greens (just like me), so I went with it. I stamped the cassette image and sentiment with Memento ink so that I could use Copics for this project. Once I had the blues in the cassette down, I placed a little bit of yellow green and blue green to make it pop. I love that Copics are translucent colors so that you can layer your colors. Once I had the strips of colors adhered down, I trimmed the panel and matted it in blue. I popped up the You Rock cassette tape up so that I could add the unraveled tape sentiment behind it! For Final embellishment I added the musical notes and heat embossed them in clear to make them pop a little. Since this is intended for a boy, I kept the design minimal because it best suits his personality.
This really was an easy card to create and is perfect for many occasions. I forgot to mention, that I stamped a birthday sentiment on the inside, but you can do what fits your particular needs. I hope that you will give this card a try! If you do don’t forget to tag me on social media, and Trinity Stamps too!
