Hello friends, I’m back today with a project for Joy Clair Designs and am featuring the digital stamp, Beauty Love. This is an awesome set to have in your arsenal because there are sentiments for all occasions, two florals, and three different foliage images. I especially love that one floral is more for Summer/Spring and the other for Autumn, but can be colored to fit any season. Let’s take a peek and then I’ll talk more about the card.
I chose to use the orchid image in the Beauty Love set and pair it one of the leaf images. I used the exact same leaf but made one much larger than the other and layered them together by sending one to the back in my Adobe Photoshop Elements software. You can do this with most editing software, including the Silhouette Cameo design space if you are looking for a free one. I really love digital stamps because you have the freedom to do whatever you desire with them. So… I then added the orchid on top of the leaves after manipulating the image a slight bit. The original stamp set shows the floral with a stem which I removed. Once I was happy with the placement, I added the sentiment, also from the Beauty Love set and then printed it with my laser printer.
I chose really simple Copic blends for my orchid and leaves, but placed unexpected colors strategically to make the image pop. You will see I added a bright yellow green to my flower which sometimes looks orange and other times green based on what color it overlaps with. I did the same with the R20 (lightest pink) and added it to the leaves. My last step to make this Beauty Love floral pop even more was I choosing the dark blue green and shaded the entire panel. Adding the gold and white splatters along with the enamel dots finished up this card.
