Happy Easter

Hello crafty friends! Thank you for visiting me this weekend! I want to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Easter! I hope that you were able to celebrate this holiday with your family and maybe attend church services, depending on where you live during this pandemic. I am celebrating with family by going to church, Sunday brunch, and our favorite place the Garden of Hope. If you haven’t heard of the Garden of Hope it is a replica of Jesus’ tomb. In case you don’t know the story of Easter and it’s significance, Jesus died on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of man. If you would like more information you can find the Easter Bible Story HERE.

I started this card by blending Simon Hurley’s Over the Moon and Piggy Back dye inks to make a background and undertone for my floral image from Scrappy Tails Crafts. I chose dye inks to stamp and blend with because they are compatible with Copic Markers. I colored the Easter Lilies image with RV hues as they play nice with Pink and Yellow. I got by with using the yellow green copics, because, most of the greenery was placed over the yellow dye inked areas, but the yg colors do have a bit of blue so they mixed okay with the pink. Once complete I trimmed down the panel and then added pink splatter to add interest.

This was a very simple card to make this weekend, but I wanted to take the chance to say Happy Easter!
