Hello and welcome back! Do you know what day it is? That’s right Tuesday, I mean Digi Choosday, the best day to shop at Polkadoodles. Not only is there a coupon code to be found, but a new challenge starts at Digi Choosday Craft Challenge! The design team was asked to make a slimline card to inspire your holiday projects. I hope not to disappoint!
My slimline measures 4×9 inches as I like to utilize as much real estate as possible that will fit into an A10 business envelope. Certainly, if you want to stick with the 3.5x 8.5 inch version, please do. I am featuring the Sleightime Digital stamp that I colored with Copic markers. I chose to color this one in pastel colors for a slightly non-traditional Christmas card.
I made my background by blending Distress Oxide inks in the colors of Shaded Lilac and Tumbled Glass and faded it off to white. I then blended the hill sides by tearing a scrap piece of paper and continued to used the Tumbled Glass. I added the trees by applying Distress Oxide, Iced Spruce through the Christmas Tree Layering stencil. Once happy with background, I added shimmer spray so that the entire card sparkles, and added Diamond Stickles to the trees.
Finally I popped up the Sleightime image with foam tape to add fun dimension. I also used a Merry Christmas sentiment and a deer from the Winnie White Christmas Big Kahuna download. Having all of these beautiful printable images makes card making so quick and easy.
