Creating Backgrounds is Easy

Hi Friends! I have a fall inspired card to share with you today featuring stamps from the Fairy Stamper Store. I used the following Fairy Hugs stamps that can be found in the store: Tiana, Wooden Walkway, and Dancing Mushrooms. As we are running out of Fall, and headed straight to winter, I thought I should get this one in the line up. This card and products were recently featured on Hochanda TV with the air date of Nov 22nd at 2 pm if you are interested.

For this card I used an oldie but goodie technique using National Geographic pages and Citrus solv. Basically if you want to try. You remove all ads from the magazine as they aren’t printed with clay inks and then you saturated what is left over with the Citra Solv so that the inks meld together and then let them dry in the sun. You will never know what kind of backgrounds you get, but you will love them.

For the stamping I used a Misti stamping tool and Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink to stamp the images and then heat embossed in clear. I also stamped the Dancing Mushrooms in the bottom right corner using Delicata Gold ink and clear heat embossed. I add a small leaf charm on twine and mounted my card front onto an A7 card base.

Just a small disclaimer! All items used in all of my projects are (or have been) purchased with my own funds, but this does not include design team items that I have received or otherwise stated.

Hey!

I wanted to tell you about an awesome new tool I’ve been using. It’s called Tailwind! They offer a super easy way to plan, schedule, and analyze all of your Pinterest or Instagram posts.
