Multi Stamp Set Scene Building

Hi and welcome back to my happy place. It’s really starting to look like Christmas around here, and I love it!! One of my favorite things to do is stretch my crafty supplies so I can buy more presents, and today’s project does just that. Here I have combined two stamp sets from Joy Clair Designs, Making Memories and Santa’s Favorite to create the perfect Christmas scene. These little bears from the Making Memories set crack me up, and I can’t wait to share them with you.

I created my scene in Photoshop Elements by arranging the bears around the Christmas tree from the Santa’s Favorite stamp set. I love working with digital images because you don’t have to do pesky masking, and you can resize your images to fit to your liking. I love that instead of masking images, I can just send some to the “back” and others “forward” in my program. After arranging the bears from the Making Memories set, I added the sentiment to the upper left corner and the snowflakes from Santa’s Favorite.

I printed my scene on to smooth card stock and colored it with Copic markers. I buy mine at Scrapbook Pal, if you are interested as they are a small company and have quick shipping. After coloring my cute scene, I added sparkle with a shimmer pen and snow with a Marvy Snow marker. To activate the “snow” you have to heat set it with a heat gun. I cut my panel down to 4.5x 6.5inches and matted it on black card stock.

I’d love to know, which is your favorite of the two stamp sets, Making Memories, or Santa’s Favorite? I happen to love them both! I think this wraps it up for me. But…
