Joy Clair October New Release

Hi friends! Welcome back! I am excited to share day five of Joy Clair Designs October New Release! This release has the perfect combination to get you through to the new year! Be sure to take a look around the shop!

Card #1
My first card features one of the images from the Cutest Love stamp set. I love this stamp set because it has the cutest little critters! I am still fighting the fact that it isn’t summer anymore, so I am bringing you one more under the sea card!

This cute little octopus was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut out. Since I am working with digital images, I sorta made my own sentiment by using select words. I love that ability! The background was a simple blend of distress oxide inks with waves stenciled on with a glitter glaze. I just love how it sparkles. Be sure to checkout Cutest Love in the shop!

Card #2!!!
My second card features the beautiful You Are stamp set! Can I say… I am in love with this floral! I had so much fun coloring this!

I designed my layout in Photoshop elements and printed the You Are stamp set onto smooth card stock to color it. The way I tackle floral is to pick the areas that curl up and would reflect the light first. Basically I’m mapping out the lightest color. Then I use my darkest color and go through the range of colors one petal at a time. I find that if I try to color entire sections at a time I get lost. So tackle it one petal at a time!!! Once finished with the flower I applied dye ink through the Bubble Circle Arches by Gina Marie (carried in Joy Clair Shop) to add texture.
