Hello and welcome back to my crafty space. I started a new devotional today from By the Well 4 God, called 20/20 Vision and I think it’s going to be a great study. Today’s topic was about pressing on or moving forward and the scripture is Phillippian 3:10-14. What this scripture reminds is that we are made perfect through Jesus and by striving to do better each day. It also tells us that we can’t remain in the past, but we must keep moving forward. Often times our walk with God stalls because we are afraid to leave the comfort of the past and we get stuck. I am stuck in a few places in my life, but I have stopped looking in the rearview mirror and am excited to see what’s ahead for 2020. My art bible journal entry is a bit messy, which is what I intended because life is messy.

Philippians 3:10-14 New International Version (NIV)

10 I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Remember when you’re taking all those selfies to see yourself through a God lens!

Sounds like a great study you are using – we cannot move forward only in our own strength though, we need to let God guide and help move us!
