Hi and welcome back to my crafty space. I’m sad that I had a reason to make this sympathy card, but hope it brings some comfort to my friend and her family. Later today, we are celebrating life of her father and say good bye to a fine man. I chose this beautiful birds nest because we often stand at the fence line and watch the birds as we chit chat, so I thought it was appropriate for our friendship. Ironically, she asked me what new crafty things I was getting into, without knowing I broke out my gel press to make this card for her. I hope it makes her smile during a what will be a very difficult in her life. I ask for prayers of healing and comfort for my sweet friend, if you wouldn’t mind?
For this card I made a background using a gel press, acrylic paints, and stencils. I then printed my images from the Prized Life stamp set onto smooth card stock and colored the greenery with sparkles pens, and the nest with Copic markers. The sentiment die cut using Regal Labels dies and ink blended with Speckled Egg Distress Inks. This came together quickly, but in my opinion beautifully.
