Wedding cards are usually filled with romance, flowers, and heartfelt sentiments… but this time I decided to add a little crafty humor! 😂💍🚔

For this week’s Craft Roulette challenge, I created a funny interactive-inspired wedding card using the adorable Bound by Love Stamp Set from Pajama Crafter Stamps. Instead of using the “4 Bar” parameter as a traditional 3.5 x 5 inch card size, I took the theme literally and created a jail scene complete with FOUR prison bars locking up the happy newlyweds!

Because let’s be honest… some people say marriage is a lifelong sentence.

Craft Roulette Parameters

Here’s how I interpreted this week’s Craft Roulette parameters in a creative way:

Project: 4 Bar

Rather than creating a standard 4 Bar sized card, I designed a dimensional jail cell scene using four silver prison bars across the front of the card.

Element: Sweets

The gorgeous tiered wedding cake became my “sweet” element and serves as the focal point of the entire scene.

Colors: Wedding

I used soft wedding-inspired colors including:

• Blush pinks
• Soft blues
• Creamy neutrals
• Elegant whites

These colors keep the project sweet and romantic even with the humorous prison theme.

Random: A Touch of Gray

The gray cardstock and ink blending created the perfect prison cell backdrop while adding depth and realism to the scene.

Bound by Love Stamp Set from Pajama Crafter Stamps

The adorable bride and groom images are from the Bound by Love Stamp Set by Pajama Crafter Stamps. These sweet illustrations are perfect for:

• Wedding cards
• Anniversary cards
• Engagement cards
• Funny relationship cards
• Scrapbooking layouts

I paired the images with sentiments from the upcoming Together Stamp & Die Bundle, which will be releasing soon from Pajama Crafter Stamps!

The “Wonderful Together” sentiment added the perfect ironic touch to the prison-themed design while still keeping the card lighthearted and fun.

Dimensional Card Design Details

One of my favorite parts of this project is the dimensional shadow-box effect. The deep card frame creates the look of an actual jail cell window, making the newlyweds appear tucked behind the bars.

To create the prison bars:

• I weaved the image between the bars
• Added shading for a metallic look
• Attached a tiny “lock” embellishment for extra humor

The added depth gives this handmade wedding card a unique interactive feel without complicated mechanisms.

Final Thoughts

I love taking creative risks during Craft Roulette, and this project definitely delivered laughs! Sometimes the best cardmaking ideas come from thinking outside the box… or apparently inside the jail cell 😂

This funny wedding card combines sweetness, humor, and dimension all in one unique handmade design. It proves that wedding cards can still be elegant while adding a playful twist.
