One of my favorite ways to stretch my creativity is by playing along with Craft Roulette, and this week’s parameters were such a fun mix!
The challenge called for:
- 🎄 A holiday card
- 🌲 Forest colors
- 🧸 A toy
- 🔀 Something wonky
I, immediately thought of a classic Toy Soldier, and this card came together with that nostalgic holiday charm in mind.
For my focal image, I colored the Unstoppable stamp using traditional Christmas hues—rich reds, deep greens, and warm neutrals—to transform her into a bold and cheerful toy soldier. I love how this stamp can take on so many personalities with just a change of color palette.

To enhance the festive feel, I paired her with the adorable presents from the Season’s Gifting stamp set. They add just the right amount of whimsy and help tell the holiday story without overwhelming the design.
To meet the “something wonky” requirement, I reached for a postage stamp die and intentionally placed it slightly crooked on the card front. I ran it through a 3D embossing folder to add texture and dimension, which gives the card extra interest and makes the wonky placement feel playful rather than accidental.
I love how all the parameters came together in this card—classic, festive, a little quirky, and full of texture. Craft Roulette always pushes me to think outside the box, and this Toy Soldier card was such a joy to create.
