As we head into Memorial Day and prepare for the 4th of July, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the values that unite us: Honor, Valor, and Pride. In that spirit, I’m thrilled to share a card project that captures the breathtaking beauty of the American landscape — with a little help from Pajama Crafter Stamps, a handful of Distress Oxide inks, and a sky full of patriotic inspiration.
For this project, I started with a gorgeous mountain landscape stamp — strong and still, like the land we love. After stamping the scene in Versafine Clair Nocrune, I brought it to life with layers of Distress Oxide inks in oranges, yellows, forest greens, and rich purples. The effect? A dreamy, landscape that feels like it could stretch from sea to shining sea.
To top it off, I used a sunny sky stencil to add warm golden rays peeking over the peaks. That burst of light brought just the right balance — turning this quiet landscape into something majestic. The blend of color and texture evokes the quiet strength of our nation’s natural beauty, making this card ideal for celebrating Americana at its finest.
