Did I Pull Off Watercoloring?

Watercoloring has always been one of those techniques that I’ve admired from afar but wasn’t sure I could actually pull off. But guess what? I finally gave it a shot, and I have to say—I’m kind of in love with the results! 💕

For this project, I used the Lovely Bouquet stamp set along with my Karin BrushMarker Pro markers to create a vibrant, floral card. Add in some stamping and embossing, and the end result was a beautifully layered design with lots of texture and depth.

My Process

I started by stamping the floral image onto watercolor paper and heat embossing it with clear embossing powder. This step not only adds a lovely, raised effect but also helps contain the watercolor, making it easier to work with.

Next, I used my Karin BrushMarkers—these are one of my favorite tools for watercoloring because of their rich pigments and smooth blending. I applied color directly to the stamped image and then used a water brush to soften and blend the shades. The key was to let the colors mix naturally, creating that soft and dreamy watercolor effect.

The Finished Look

Once the watercoloring dried, I added a few final touches—some light splatter for a bit of artistic flair and a simple sentiment to complete the card. The result? A handmade card that feels both delicate and bold, with a gorgeous watercolor vibe that I’m so excited about!
