Saltwater Taffy Color Inspired Christmas Card

Hello my friends. Have you enjoyed Christmas in July? I know I have and have decided to extend it into August. Today I am sharing a card inspired by the soft colors of Saltwater Taffy. That sounds weird right? But, sometimes we have to cure the sweet tooth. I think I did just that with this fun Layered Joy Tree Stencil and Die Bundle and the Layered Noel Foliage Stencil and Die Bundle from Spellbinders I made three cards, because why not while I have the inks out. They are just a little different, but very matchy- matchy.

These cards are so simple to make.. like five minutes simple! This is my kind of crafting for the holidays!!! I blended 6 colors of Distress Oxide inks through the 6 Layered Joy Tree Stencil. Now if you don’t like to die cut, you can buy just the stencils, but I opted for the bundle so that I would have options. I pared this beautiful tree with a background embossed with the Hydrangea Bloom Folder. Simplicity at it’s finest!!!

For this card I used the same colors, but decided to do an extra layer and die cut the Joy and popped it up for added texture and dimension. I didn’t add any embossing, but just a complimentary color along the edges. Let me know which one you like best?

I kept with the same color scheme for this card, but I mixed collections to show that the Spellbinders products are so easily mixed and matched create one of a kind cards. This one used the Layered Noel Foliage Stencil and Die Bundle, which is layered on top of an inked embossed panel I just love the dimension of the Holly and Foliage 3D Embossing Folder. You’ll have to let me know what you think of this one.
