How To Make a Faux Porthole

Hello friends! I was feeling a little froggy today, I so I thought why not… make a frog! I love this cute snorkeling frog from the Beach Frogs stamp set and thought he’d be funny in a porthole or aquarium like setting. You’ll have to let me know what you think.

Making this porthole was quite simple I chose a pewter colored cardstock and 2 circle dies such as the Pierced and Stitched Circles from Whimsy Stamps and made a frame. From there I used some silver baubles from my stash! But of course the little snorkeler from Beach Frogs is the star of the show. I colored him with simple blends of Copic markers and fussy cut him out. No snorkeling trip would be complete without Making Waves, which I blended Distress Oxide Inks through the stencil to create the look. I die cut that panel using the smaller of the two circle dies that I used for the frame so that I could inlay it. Finally I added a fun sentiment and fish to the front panel to give it that extra little bit of pop!!!!
