Hi friends! I have been excited about the Sweet Sentiment Stamps release and it was so hard to keep it under wraps, but now I can scream from the roof tops. If you love everything sea, pirates and mermaids you’re gonna love it too! Summer is officially here!! If you’re anything like me I suggest the Mermay Bundle and get it all!
For this project I used a rag paper Mixed media Journal from Stamplistic that I recently got a got a trade show as a make and take. So this came together easy because I had the background already done. I added texture using the new Nothin’ But Net Stencil and white paint. After that I applied the Fintastic stamps that were colored with Copics. I almost forgot, once the paint was dry I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I love the way this came out!!!
For the next two projects I used a ink swiping technique using dye inks in serveral blue greens, greens, and purple onto watercolor paper to create this wonderful ocean background. The first card using this technique feautres the Stay Salty Mermaid. Her hair was so much to color… you need to give it a try lol.
The second sample using the ocean back ground I used the Wonderful Water Lily stamp that was colored in vibrant colors with Copic markers. I decided to use the ColorDex Classic to collect this specimen for myself.
This is what I call one sheet wonder because I stamped and colored the Aye, Aye Captain stamp images to create a scene and colored them creating a scene. I didn’t add any layers by die cutting. If you are one of those that have to a die for every stamp, just know each set has a coordinating die in this collection. Woo hoo!
